Kashmir gained its independence from Britain in 1947. Yet, do you think that their independence led to real freedom? No. After gaining its independence, Kashmir enters another bondage. India and Pakistan both claim the land to be fully theirs and Kashmir wanted to be its own state. To try to resolve this problem, Both Pakistan and India went to the United Nations for help. The UN urged India to bring down its armed forces in the region and had asked that Pakistan stop terrorism in the country. None of the sides obeyed the UN and hate grew larger between the two nations. This makes the situation much more serious because both of the countries possess nuclear powers and therefore have the power to destroy each other and their allied forces.

France believes that Kashmir should be its own independent nation because that is what the people in Kashmir asked for. Both India and Pakistan want Kashmir because of their own advantages, not because they wish for true justice. India wants Kashmir so that is can spread Hinduism and spread its country landmass. Pakistan on the other hand wants to spread Islam. After being released from British supervision, France believes that Kashmir really belongs to no one and should therefore start its own nation.
Many solutions have been used to solve this problem, however, none have worked to well whatsoever. France strongly believes that India and Pakistan should acknowledge that people of Kashmir by respecting their rights and freedoms. We would also like the People of Kashmir to cooperate with Commission appointed by India, Pakistan, and representatives Kashmir. They should also realize that at present time, they could not possibly maintain a stable condition unless they find a nation or organization whom they believe can help them. Overall, France believes that only the people of Kashmir can decide which country they would want to abide to.
